We hopped the monorail in to the Park after a quick visit to our friends at the Disney Vacation Club. We met up with Ryan and Veronica at the monorail station in Tomorrowland and then caught up with none other than Cynthia Hawes. Cynthia and I are both avid Disney fans and in nearly two decades of friendship, have never been in the park together. This was the day. We were going to ride Space Mountain but it was closed. We had limited time as we needed to head to the airport by 3pm, so we headed over to California Adventure to ride Tower of Terror and Soarin’ Over the World. Both rides rocked!

We bid our friends and parks farewell and drove to LAX to catch our flight. We ended up being REALLY early because it took only about 3o minutes to get checked in and through security – we were expecting long lines, but they just weren’t there. We got to our gate 3 hours early so we grabbed a drink and a bite to eat at Sea Legs. One of the things we have discovered is that we prefer to be comfortable on the plane and chose Premium Economy as a result. It’s worth the extra money in my opinion. We had our own check in desk and our own line for boarding. And Virgin Atlantic knows how to treat their passengers! Welcome champagne, hot meals on real plates, coffee, tea and brandy afterwards. We caught a little sleep…and morning starts day 3…so stay tuned!
